Re-Designing the Mercedes Me app for enhanced UX and on-brand UI

Mercedes provides an excellent user, brand and customer experience. However, the Mercedes Me app didn’t reflect this luxury experience and feel that Mercedes is known for; so we re-designed the app’s UI and enhanced the UX.

Goals

  • Design the UI to reflect the luxury look and feel that Mercedes is known for.

  • Enhance the user experience with additional features.

  • Make information easier to digest.

Challenges

  • Don’t stray too far from the current UX to ensure the re-design still feels familiar.

  • Make controls quicker for users to access, decreasing customer journey time.

Outcomes

  • Enhanced the UX by providing the following features: warning alerts, vehicle status, vehicle location, temperature control and solutions to vehicle warnings.

  • A luxury and on-brand UI which better represents Mercedes, compared to the previous design.

Key Features

Warning Alerts

Users will be alerted of any vehicle issues that need attention. The app will suggest parts to buy or find a local garage, making the solution easy for the user.

Vehicle Status

Users are able to see an overview of vital details about their vehicle, such as: tyre pressure, fluid levels, temperatures and more. This allows users to potentially avoid future problems.

Vehicle Location

Ever forgotten where you’ve parked? We’ve included a vehicle location section within the app, allowing users to find their vehicle via a flash or walking directions.
